Basic Marketing - How To Work The Systems

We recently celebrated our 28th anniversary in our private chiropractic practice. In celebration, we held a simple event and invited our new and old patients, as well as other people in our community.
We started early getting the word out. With the use of systems that we advocate, a month before the event, my staff sent out press releases to several newspapers. Local newspapers published a brief story and history of our practice before the event. Then another one was published again after the said event.
A week prior to the event, my staff busied themselves decorating the office and putting up fliers. After that they got on the phone with a selected group of patients to spread the word about the event.
On the day of the event, we were totally surprised by the result of our efforts. And the most amazing part of it all is that we are still seeing responses to our efforts, almost a full month after.
The steps that we took were all very simple and yet the result was more than we could have asked for. It had brought back a lot of former patients including those who I have not seen in 10-20 years. Aside from former patients coming back to see us, there is also a major influx of new patients referrals. A lot of them are adult children, families and friends of many former patients.
Without a doubt, this was one of the best marketing events of our practice year to date.
My point is systems can really work well. You just need to make sure that you set them up as systems. Also, make sure that you continuously implement them on a monthly basis. You only have to put in very little effort organizing such simple systems but the returns are so much bigger and it pays big dividends.
I tell you, you have to take the time to use your resources to improve your systems. Your practice will benefit on every little thing that you'll do.
